Sweet grass is used in Native American culture. This plant is sacred to Native Americans, because of how it is used in ceromonies. When sweet grass is burned the smoke that comes off of it is what is used. It can also be used for prayer or smudging. Sweet grass is usually braided and burned at the tail-end of it just so the braided stays intact. The smell of sweet grass gives off a hint of vanilla. The length of sweet grass varies in size but the length averages about 22.5 inches long.
