Mirac made the piece for is brother Bruce on November 14, 1985.

 

Mirac was a self-taught artist who was inspired by his Native American ancestry and his love for the Southern Plains of Oklahoma. His paintings were inspired by the stories of family members who appreciated tradition and Ceremony. Realistic and spontaneous is how his paintings have been discribed. He worked with oils, acrylics, watercolors, tempera, pencil, pen & ink, pastel, soapstone, and prints. During Mirac's career he has exhibited widely and recieved numerous awards.
