A nice hat tack pin done in gold and blues with a cavalry sword in the middle, in remembrance of Custer's 7th Cavalry that fought at the Battle of the Little Bighorn. Garryowen was Custer's favorite song, an Irish drinking song. It's catchy tune became Custer's troops marching song. It is now the name of a tiny US Post Office on the site of Sitting Bull's Camp. The US Army often named their camps "Garryowen" This hat pin measures 1 1/2 x 1/2 inch.
