Hidatsa Earth Blanket
This beautiful blanket is based off of Edward S. Curtis' photo. He photographed many Native American tribes west of the Mississippi. In his photo used for this blanket has the elements of the earth and sky. Triangles for the mountain design and geometric motifs to represent the seeds, grass, and wheat. Also the four crosses symbolize the four directions (North, South, East and West).
