Pendleton

Pendleton is a world-wide known company for making raw wool into fabric which can be used for their different blankets and all sorts of men and women appear. This establishment is family owned business that was kept in the family for six generations. Established in 1863 by a man named Thomas Kay. Kay owned the original mill in Portland, Oregon which was a scouring plant that processed raw wool. In 1895 the plant became a woolen mill. By becoming a woolen mill they were able to make blankets and robes which was used by Native Americans. Pendleton was not made into a wool mill until the early 1900's by the Bistro brothers. Pendleton is world known for their bright  geometric design patterns that have history connecting the trading they did with Native Americans. Ex. Chief Joseph, Brave Star, Grateful Nations, and Celebrate the Horse.
