The Crazy Horse and Colonel Nelson Miles Fight of 1877 : New Discoveries at the Battle of the Butte

New Discoveries at the Battle of the Butte
This newly published work presents new details about the Battle of the Butte. Fought on January 7, 1877, although the battle is one of the lesser known of the Sioux War, it was perhaps one of the most significant events since it was the last big fight between the U.S. Army and the Plains Indians.
The author, along with Steve BOoras of Spokane, WA, began his research into the battle in 1988. For nearly a twenty-year period, the author made dozens of trips to the Battle Butte site in search of answers to the many mysteries surrounding the battle. The author and BOoras recoveredhundreds of battlefield artifacts; most at previously undiscovered locations. Each artifact discovery shed new light on the events of the battle, and allowed us to finally solve many of the mysteries regarding how and where the most significant parts of the battle were fought.
