"At long last a writing about my Great, Great Grandfather, by an Oglala author. As a warrior himself, McGaa has walked in their shadows and is well qualified to write on Red Cloud and Crazy Horse. He has utilized a wealth of oral history known by very few non-Oglalas. Eagle Man has accomplished a masterful task of dispelling so many false myths stirred by sensational seeking writers simply by gathering fact from our tribe's oral history acquired back when many front line warriors were yet living. He pays truthful tribute to our ancestors; two of our greatest Indian leaders of all time." - Lula Red Cloud
